Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of industrial maintenance mechanics to ensure tasks are completed timely and all production equipment is functioning properly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor PM program
- Manage weekly plan to determine job priorities alongside Production management
- Research new and used equipment and make recommendations to upper management
- Work with various managers to design and implement changes needed in their areas of operations including equipment modifications and procedures
- Oversee training on all equipment operation as specified in SOPs
- Order parts and research substitute parts for all plant maintenance needs
- Adhere to and manage the budget for the department
- Manages and provides guidance to Maintenance technicians
- Coach, train and develop maintenance staff
- Weekly report status of all ongoing projects to the operations manager
- Decrease downtime by pinpointing equipment and/or process deficiencies, then planning and making necessary modifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree in engineering a plus with 3 years in maintenance field OR 5 years in maintenance field with 2 of those years in a supervisory role
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience with PLC function and programming
- Experience in food production facility a preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Strong automation skills
