Originally from Tampa, Florida, Derek recently made his way to BCG in Utah by way of Golden State Foods in Atlanta and International Flavors and Fragrances in New York. Before that, he led food and beverage R&D, Q/A, and technical services and innovations for global organizations such as Bacardi-Martini and Sensient Flavors. Derek is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia and, in his spare time, enjoys Aikido, live music, travel, and time with his toy Australian Shepherd.
