Quality Supervisor
The Quality Supervisor will provide leadership and guidance to Quality Technicians in their job responsibilities. Inspects QC logs and forms, reviews blending and production batch records, issues corrective actions, coaches, mentors, trains, and ensures compliance with policies and procedures, participates as a member of the HACCP and HARPC team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mentor and develop direct reports and provide resources and support as needed
- Set clear goals for direct reports and address performance issues in a timely manner
- Review Batch Production Record for documentation accuracy and completion
- Train QC techs and act as a back-up when they are absent to ensure that essential duties are covered across receiving, bulk production, packaging and shipment
- Coordinate environmental monitoring and hygiene
- Write and review technical documentation (SOPs, MMRs, etc)
- Assist in audits and regulatory document requests (internal and external)
- Enforce compliance with cGMP, SQF, and NSF policies throughout the facility
- Assist in investigations to resolve product and process issues related to quality and compliance
- Assist Director of Quality as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-3 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in a Food Product Manufacturing environment (1-2 years in beverage manufacturing a plus)
- 1-2 years supervisory experience
- May be required to work some holidays/weekends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and suppliers
- HACCP and cGMP certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
- PCQI certification
- Experience with SQF and principles of internal auditing preferred
- Degree in Food Science, or other Biology science, strongly preferred or 3-5 years of commensurate work and school experience
